NJStar specializes in English-CJK two-way translation. We have qualified translators (NAATI* Accredited Level 3) ready to offer you quality translation work. They are capable of translating a wide range of documents and handling various computer file formats.

We also specialize in web site translation. All translation work will be done in web-worthy codes, that is to say, transform your entire English web pages into Chinese (either traditional Chinese or simplified) / Japanese / Korean version and vice versa, enabling you to target and explore your intended market.

Apart from translation, interpreting service is also available (for Australian clients only). Interpreting assignments can vary enormously, from purely PR exercises, through interviews, to business presentations and complex negotiations.

The maintaining of professional standards in the translation industry is not always easy, particularly when dealing with technically challenging texts, or languages that present typesetting complexities, or where tight turnarounds are required. NJStar's quality control programme is centred around two key pillars - using the best available personnel, and thorough checking systems.

Quality of Personnel

NJStar has built up an extensive database of exceptional contracting personnel over many years. The NAATI qualification is of course the overriding benchmark for our translators and interpreters. We use only professional NAATI qualified translators / interpreters with proven skills honed over many years of practice. All translators / interpreters are trained in business and translation / interpreting ethics and in their duty of confidentiality.

Range of Personnel

With a contractor database numbering several hundred, we will almost always have a number of people we can use for a particular job and are thus able to select the most appropriate person for that assignment. This is of particular importance when dealing with specialist and technical fields.

Checking Procedures

We understand that thorough checking procedures to pick up "human errors" and any misinterpretation of the source language text (always possible, given that professional translators work only from their second language into their mother tongue) are vital. As obvious as this seems, it is not always the practice in the industry, either here in Australia or abroad. It is however, standard for NJStar and our translation and typesetting checking procedures have proven highly successful over the years in eliminating error and ensuring professional standards are maintained.
